RGPLP - General Practitioner needed for 100 Mile House (RGPLP)

Role and Facility Information

We are seeking a short and long term Locum to join our 100 Mile House Family Practitioners. If you are interested, we would like to offer you a virtual meet and greet with the physician reps and the Division. This takes approximately 30 minutes, we can discuss incentives for our community, structuring your patient panel, and what other specialties you may be interested in. Uniquely, 100 Mile House is able to offer you a fully tailored medical practice: Ex. 3 days in clinic for primary care, 1 day remote First Nations communities, 1 day in a walk-in clinic. 100 Mile House is fitted with an Emergency Department, ambulance fleet, fire and police stations and Search & Rescue.

Call Expectations

Each physician is responsible for their own patient care. Possible ER shifts also.

Visiting Specialist/Consultant Information

Visiting specialists include Urology, ENT, Ortho, Ophthalmology, coming to Williams Lake with the completion of that hospital’s surgical expansion refit. 100 Mile can refer to Williams Lake as well as Prince George, Kamloops, Kelowna etc.

Accommodation Description

No, however there is accommodation in and around 100 Mile House, including houses, cabins, basement suits, apartments (for longer terms) and hotels, motel. Contract RGPLP at travel@locumsruralbc.ca for assistance.

Most Convenient Mode of Transportation

Own vehicle is best/easiest. Rental cars are available through the Locums for Rural BC program if needed (travel@locumsruralbc.ca). There is a taxi service and a bus service but both are minimal. 100 Mile House is walkable within the core town area.
