Welcoming Procedures

The locum physician is greeted by clinic staff and given orientation as well as a site tour and introduction to all the practitioners in the clinic. New locums to Princeton receive a welcome basket with fresh produce, baked goods and several offers/gift certificates for local services presented by the mayor or council on the first day.

Clinic staff schedule time to orientate the locum on clinic processes and the EMR,. Orientation takes place in the clinic staff room.

Social Involvement

We often find out the interests of our locums and then assist them in the logistics of the activity (ie directions, getting in touch with a local to guide or take the locum out). The town of Princeton and community members provides a welcome basket to all new locums to the community which often contains gift certificates at times to local services/recreation opportunities, homemade preserves or pastries and fruit from the local Save-On Foods.
